Almost done with my last assignment! A 3,000 word paper...on climate change in the Midwest, how we can prepare the built environment for anticipated change, and how the Adapative Model plays into living more sustainably. (sounds official, right? ;)
Looking through my notes, I found a few other words that came up during lectures...
Pissed - have I already mentioned this one? I've used it in the regular American sense of the word, (angry, upset), but here, it only means DRUNK.
Stuffed - see above, plus can mean hungover, exhausted, and range of other adjectives I'm sure I haven't picked up on yet
Reckon - they use it ALL the time! I reckon.... Look mate, I reckon that....
"It's not all beer and skittles" - not sure if this is an Aussie thing or just something our most recent professor likes to say...
He also says 'pedantic' all the frickin time! Had to look that one up....and 'innocuous'....
Always good to expand the vocabulary!
cheers...
